  4. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  6. Windows 3.1

  8. ╖ Make sure your sound card and CD-ROM drive are installed and 
  9. working with Windows 3.1 or higher.
  10. ╖ Start Windows.
  11. ╖ Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive according to the manufacturer's 
  12. instructions.
  13. ╖ From the Windows Program Manager, select FILE, then RUN...Type  
  14. X:\SETUP.EXE (replace X the letter of your CD-ROM drive), then select 
  15. OK and follow the instructions on the screen.
  16. ╖ If you do not have the latest version of QuickTime you can install 
  17. it from the CD-ROM using the Apple QuickTime Installer. From the Windows 
  18. Program Manager, select FILE, then RUN...Type X:\QTINSTAL.EXE (replace 
  19. X with the letter of your CD-ROM drive), then select OK and follow the 
  20. instructions on the screen.
  21. ╖ To start the program, make sure the CD is in your CD-ROM drive, then 
  22. open the "A is for Art" Program Group in your Program Window and double 
  23. click the "CEZANNE" program icon located there.

  28. ╖ Make sure your sound card and CD-ROM drive are installed and working 
  29. with Windows 95.
  30. ╖ Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive according to the manufacturer's 
  31. instructions.
  32. ╖ From the Start Menu, select RUN...Type X:\SETUP.EXE (replace X with 
  33. the letter of your CD-ROM drive), then select OK and follow the instructions 
  34. on the screen.

  36. from the CD-ROM using the Apple QuickTime Installer. From the Start Menu, 
  37. select RUN...Type X:\QT32INST.EXE (replace X with the letter of your CD-ROM 
  38. drive),  then select OK and follow the instructions on the screen.

  40. the "A is for Art" folder from your Start Menu under Programs and select 
  41. the "CEZANNE" program icon located there.

  46. MAXIMIZING PERFORMANCE
  47.  
  48. ╖ Make sure you have quit all other applications before running CEZANNE.
  49.  
  50. ╖ The minimum requirement is an MPC 486 or higher processor with 8MB of 
  51. RAM and 5MB of free disk space. If not enough disk space is available, 
  52. performance may be inconsistent.
  53.  
  54. ╖ QuickTime movies will run best if you have installed the latest 
  55. version of QuickTime for Windows. The Windows95 version of this product 
  56. (automatically installed by the installer) requires QuickTime for 
  57. Windows 2.1 or better. The QTW 2.1.1 installer is included on this CD-ROM.

  59. ╖ Your CD-ROM drive must be at least a double speed drive. That is, its 
  60. transfer rate must be 200kb/s or better. Using a slower drive may cause 
  61. audio breakups and sporadic performance.
  62.  
  63. ╖ Your video card and its Windows driver must support 256 colors. Installing
  64. the most recent version of the video card driver may improve performance.
  65.  
  66. ╖ Your sound card's Windows driver must also be installed and working.
  67. Installing the most recent version of the sound board driver may improve
  68. performance.

  70. ╖ Disable any screen savers.
  71.  
  72. ╖ Disconnect any network connections. Users of Windows 3.11 (for WorkGroups) 
  73. may experience irregular performance when network connections are active.
  74.  
  75. ╖ Users of Windows 3.1 may note that the "save to scrapbook" feature is not
  76. available on that platform. Should you upgrade to Windows95, that program 
  77. will automatically display that feature.
